Microsoft Visit & Experience

 

I went Microsoft Korea building in Gyeongbokgoog on the november two.

I was so expected about this because It is a one of the best IT companies in the world.

I think I’m lucky to have a chace like this.

On my way to go there, I lost my way, but I could go there on time.

 

1.Lecture

I had a lecture there. The instructor was expert in that company. He explained how microsoft change and how they utilize it. The keyword was the ‘free’ There is no seat that for certain person(Exception for one person who should get a paper). It is not a common thing. They use their cloud service, so it can work on them. In that, I was impressed by the company’s ideology that believe their workers, and make them to work efficiently. And the instructor said the change with space design, there were room for relax and do  and they make  open space for workers collaboration.

2.Tour

We go on a tour for 3 floor. It was very neat and easy to know. Design for every facilities are simple and warm. There is a  Workstation for their task, adshook for meeting, focusroom for concentration, phoneroom for contacting and calling without interupting. And I like the touch down to work in front of the window. Because the view was very good. In addtion there are several meeting room named Tokyo, France and so on. I find some features of this design during the tour 1. They emphasize resting and flexiblilty on work. There are mothers room and corner sofa, and free vending machine, refrigerator, toaster. 2. They utilize small space very well. They make corner for rest, and phone room for one or two person, small meetingrooms are everywhere. It help the workers to work efficiently and flexibly

 

3.Overall Reflection

It was very impressive, I loved how they make their work efficiently. I want to make my own space design for future education! It was short, but it give me a lot og inspiration about my design thinking!
